Dr. med.
K. H. Poehlmann MB BS, PhD, KLJ finished his basic training
at the University of Erlangen, (West-) Germany, in 1969. He
worked as a country practitioner and anaesthetist, and as a
scientific medical adviser for the pharmaceutical industry. He
has always been involved in education relating to natural
therapies. He studied Ayurveda for more than six years in
Australia and Pune, India. For many years he was lecturer at the
Australasian Academy of Indian Medicine in Adelaide and at the
Institute of Indian Medicine in Pune. |

Helena Poehlmann studied ayurveda (Certificate of Proficiency in Ayurveda) from 1988 to 1991 through the Institute of Indian Medicine, Pune (India). Her teachers were well-known professors from the University of Pune, India, such as Prof. PH Kulkarni, Prof. Dr. B.B. Date and Dr. SP Sardesmukh. Subsequently, she completed a Diploma of Oriental Medicine with Health Schools Australia and later a Bachelor of Health Sciences from Adelaide University with majors in anatomical sciences and reproductive health. Two years of medical school allowed her to train in a GP's surgery and various hospitals in Germany and India. She is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society Ltd (Membership Number 5137) and of the European Association of Ayurvedic Therapists (VEAT). She has been attuned to Usui Reiki. She's been working part-time in holistic health care since 1991 and for a pharmaceutical company since 2001. For the past 10 years she has been organising lectures and course.
