Dear Visitor, I want to show you, how to use ayurvedic principles to live a more balanced and happier life. I will teach you to recognise your individual strengths and weaknesses and how to work with them. Ayurveda is the traditional ancient wisdom of a healthy lifestyle, wherein health is seen as mental, spiritual and bodily balance. The word 'Ayurveda' is made up of 'Ayur' - life and 'Veda' - knowledge. It is not only a complete medical system, but also a philosophy. Ayurveda teaches that the universe consists of five basic material Elements:
According to Ayuveda, real health can only be achived if we fulfill our duties of Dharma (the duty towards others), Artha (using sense-organs to understand and analyse our surroundings), Kama (desires of every kind) and Moksha (salvation-breaking the circle of life and death). This is done through observing
Ayuveda prevents illness and assists the body in its natural ability to heal itself. In a consultation, your constitution will be determined and imbalances of the 'three Doshas' (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) will be localised. A consultation should teach you how to restore balance. At a later stage, ayurvedic manual therapies will assist you in this healing process.
